The American Massage Therapy Association acknowledges that most massage therapy sessions are structured very similarly. Here at the Massage Club of Wall while each of our well qualified therapists has their own style all of our treatments follow this structure.
You will want to arrive a bit early to make sure that the therapist is able to give you the full amount of treatment time.
Before the treatment, your therapist will check in with you to see how you are feeling that day, how your last treatment affected you and what your current goals are for the session.
You will be shown to the treatment room where you will be given privacy to undress to your comfort level and get under the provided sheet and blanket on the massage table.
The lights will be dimmed and there will be relaxing music playing. Let the therapist know if you have any preferences with the lights or music. This is your time to relax so let us know how to help you!
Each body part (except for private ones) will be uncovered only during treatment and then redraped with the sheet. If at any point you want more or less pressure or experience pain, please let us know.
Some people are talkers and others prefer to enjoy their massage in silence. Again this is your time so only chat if you want.
Your therapist will let you know when your session is done and will step out of the room to give you privacy to redress. Get up slowly. Your body is relaxed and jumping off the table could cause lightheadedness or at least undo some of the wonderful relaxation.
Your therapist will meet you with some water and, since the benefits of massage are cumulative, give you the opportunity to schedule another session if you are ready to do so.
